Eva Sheie (00:00):
You're listening to Where Before Meets After. One thing we've seen over and over in your photos is that these breast lifts do not have implants, but they look like they have breast implants. Why is that happening?

Dr. Hayes (00:12):
Yeah, it's two reasons. So some surgeons when they do a breast lift will keep the nipple alive by using tissue from the bottom and they might remove some of the tissue at the top. I'm doing the opposite. That's not anything I created that was popularized by a female plastic surgeon in Canada, Hall Findley. So I'm saving all of the tissue from the top. So by tightening everything, saving all of the tissue at the top, I have more there. And then bra number two and bra number three, essentially lock that in and drive it all up as firmly as we can. And so I'm just packing all of that tissue into a very tight envelope. And again, having the method to keep it there. And I mean, I know those photos look good. When you see them in real life, I kid you not. They look twice as good. They are stunning when you see them live. When I do a triple bra, usually the question I get is, did she or didn't she?

Eva Sheie (01:11):
What do your patients say when they see these results for the first time?

Dr. Hayes (01:16):
It's the best. It's my favorite. It's funny, you talk to my nurses, they all know what I'm going to do. So I do these breast lifts on Tuesday. I come into clinic on Wednesday to have my clinic day. I'm not scheduled to see this patient. They're seeing the nurse. Yet, I'm going to pop my head in because I'm so excited about yesterday's surgery. And so I'll walk in the room, nurse is with me. And my first question is, have you looked? And sometimes they haven't. They just have not felt comfortable taking their ... Unzipping their sports bra. So it goes one of two ways. Either they have or they haven't. The ones who have, I think it's ... I mean, their mind is blown. It's crazy because they've seen what I put on Instagram. And what I tell people is what I put on Instagram, that's my everyday work.

Dr. Hayes (02:07):
I don't cherry-pick my work to put it on Instagram. I would post every single surgery I do on my Instagram. So I think it's just the understanding that when they see their result, that what I'm showing on Instagram is what I'm delivering and just blown away. Now it's even better when they haven't looked. And then we get to have them stand in the mirror. And it's like, I remember one patient specifically. She had not looked. Her mother was in there with her. So we have maybe a 28-year-old patient, maybe 55-year-old mom. Patient unzips her bra. Mom's at the 45. Mom's face absolutely blown away. She cannot believe that her daughter's breasts look like that. Anyway, it's very touching. I love doing it.

Eva Sheie (03:01):
Yeah. You just lit out when I asked you that question.

Dr. Hayes (03:03):
I just love it.

Eva Sheie (03:04):
You're like a different person.

Dr. Hayes (03:05):
It's so true. It's so true.
